Organisation Details
Flyways, the migratory routes birds use, are critical for maintaining global biodiversity. This study explored the efforts of the Hanns Seidel Foundation (HSF) Korea in promoting habitat conservation and international cooperation along the flyways, with a particular focus on the Third Pole countries. HSF Korea protects migratory bird habitats and fosters sustainable environmental practices through global climate cooperation project. The Third Pole region and its surroundings are vital for numerous migratory bird species. These birds rely on a network of habitats on flyways that span multiple countries for their seasonal migrations. However, these routes and the habitats they connect face significant threats from climate change, habitat destruction, and human activities. Effective conservation requires coordinated efforts across borders. HSF Korea, dedicated to environmental conservation and sustainable development, has actively engaged in conserving migratory bird habitats along flyways, such as the Central Asian Flyway in the Third Pole region. These efforts include cross-border cooperation to ensure effective collaboration in habitat management. HSF Korea's work highlights the importance of international cooperation and community engagement in conserving migratory bird habitats. This comprehensive approach addresses conservation's ecological and socio-economic aspects, ensuring benefits for biodiversity and local communities. This cooperation along the flyways will be helpful in habitat management to protect birds and biodiversity.
